Duradiamond Software, a Perthshire-based company that develops digital solutions for the farming sector, has announced record-breaking sales and international expansion in 2023. The company, which has created an app to simplify livestock management, has secured contracts in the UK, Ireland, South Africa and Australia, boosting its turnover to £250,000, a threefold increase from its previous record.
The company's app, iLivestock, allows farmers to record and access data on their animals using their smartphones or tablets, eliminating the need for paper records and improving efficiency and accuracy. The app also integrates with eWeigh, a wireless weighing system that automatically captures and uploads animal weights to the cloud.
Duradiamond Software has partnered with Allflex UK, a leading provider of animal identification technology, to distribute its products in the UK and Ireland under a two-year deal worth more than £350,000. The company has also signed exclusive distribution agreements with partners in South Africa and Australia, worth £73,000 and £65,250 respectively.
The company's growth has enabled it to increase its staff from three to five, with plans to hire two more in early 2020. The company has also received support from Business Gateway, which provided financial and advisory assistance, including grant funding, technical advice and strategic workshops.
Jamie Pugh, co-founder of Duradiamond Software, said:
"We are delighted with the success of our products and the positive feedback we have received from our customers. Our app and weighing system are designed to make farming easier and more profitable by providing accurate and timely information on animal health and performance. We are grateful for the support from Business Gateway, which helped us develop and launch our products and reach new markets.
